I glitched a falcon and installed everything and played games without any problems. a couple of night ago i switched off the box at night but when i switched it on in the morning, the xbox came with only the central green light. it was not synching with the controller, though i intially switched it on with that particular controller. i have switched it on & on off both manually and with the controller on a number of occassions and have left it on for 1/2 an hour or more still no movement from the central green light. i have even disconnected all the drives cables and still the same response. I can see the red light inside the box from the coolrunner chip.

do you think that the chip has gone faulty?

same thing happened to me when i tripped over my xbox (stupid, I know).. It took out the green wire ;P . You could still see the green light on the Coolrunner trying to glitch as well. Resoldering it fixed it.

okay, thank you for all your advice. i'll take it apart and have a look, i think the posting wire might have come off.

Check if you still get xell from pressing the eject button.
no xell is not coming on.

I have checked all the soledered points they look good. after soldering i put hot glue, it feels solid.

when i switch the box on, the middle light stays green and nothing on the screen. the CR stays red, doesn't change green at all.

I have re-soldered all three points at the bottom of the board, still the same problem. CR is not glitching at all/ not changing to green at all.

because it worked before and it suddenly developed this problem, i'm thinking it is the CoolRunner which has gone faulty. how can I check this?

I need to see some high quality pictures of all your points aswell as on the coolrunner itself.
thanks, i tend to solder and test and then put cold heat glue on it to make sure the connection stay permanent, that’s why i couldn’t show you the pictures.
after re-soldering all the points, re-flashing ecc and nand finally I have sorted the problem, i was partially right in my initial assumption. it had nothing to do with the soldering or the ecc or nand flashing. it was coolrunner which had corrupted or lost the falcon jed flashed file. I re-flashed the CR and immediately i could see the green light flashing and glitching. i'm hoping that it is a one-off fault and it is not going to repeat, before anybody says anything, the switch was left on norm and not on prog and mine is phat one.
i'll summarise the problem i had.
played the RGH xbox over a few days. came one morning after playing the previous evening, switched the xbox and saw the middle of the green light staying on for ever. after several attempts of switching the box on & off and removing things bit by bit i was not getting anywhere just black screen and single middle green light, no RROD at all.
just to note in my attempt to get to the bottom of the problem, i tried re-flashing the orig nand, i had 0022 problem. i changed the ldv as suggested by Martin C, still had the 0022 whenever i re-flashed the orig nand.
