i think most of it is when ppl mess there drives and forget to dump the key,trust me i no a few ppl that have done it.

For shame... all those 10 years of experience and one should be able to read the explanation and realize... please change the topic, the only JTAG involved in this is used to program the CPLD, and that is no hack but done exactly the way xilinx intended. Unless, of course, you'd prefer to have everyone running around thinking they are smart by referring to this as a jtag hack when it clearly is not? :facepalm:
Others don't seem to realize it, but getting control of the console during boot time instead of inside and exploitable kernel means... no rebooter. Why re-boot when you can just... boot?

Does that mean that the NAND-X has to stay in the console as well, or is it just for programming a new chip like the digilent c-mod?I have already designed our own device which is completely tailored to this hack.
