I started to notice my boot times for my slim where getting longer and longer (up to 5 minutes) to boot so I ordered the POST QSB and when I took the xbox apart I noticed that the cpu reset wire and pulled the trace from R3D4 to C5R11. I am trying to repair this trace by using my hot air rework station and solder balls. Has this happened to anyone? Does anyone have any suggestions on repairing this?
Ok I found the alternate slim CPU RST point in thebombers post (thank you!!). However, there still is the issue of the missing trace. Does this trace need to be replaced? I am having trouble getting solder to stick so I don't know how well this trace repair is going to work out.
