Resistor broke off, know what it does?

The resistor labelled C7D2 (see it here) broke off. Could that be what's stopping me getting the 3.3v light? I'd swear my soldering is fine and I can't resolder until I get something to help me remove the connections.

It was working till today, my previous solder wasn't perfect.

Can't I just resolder it myself?

=Update=

The xbox boots normally, can I cheat somehow if that doesn't work?

Actually, it really is only probably. I knew someone who knocked a resistor off a modem and work worked fine.

The question only asked if anyone knew if it was part of the 3.3v trace.

most of the time the capacitors and resistors are to save ur ass from a surge or a short. if you dont want the protection then dont fix it.

Same thing with most electronics you can knock some resistors, capacitor, and if you lucky a transistor and they item will still work. You may just knock some life off of it.

Ok. So, knocking a capacitor off shouldn't break a trace? I'll need to recheck my soldering then. I think I've done a resonalble job of re-attaching the capacitor.

I know a really good electrician who fixes TVs and things, I think I might take it to him after the hols if I can't fix it myself.

But without the capacitor, you have broken the circuit!!!

You're going to need another in it's place.

yeah, surly the circuit will be broken? How will the electrons flow through the capacitor when its not there anymore? the LEAST you'd have to do it bridge the gap...

Also, someone mentioned circuits working with missing transistors? that'd be interesting..... And it would be impossible for them to work 100%

Well, I've soldered the capacitor back, I'm gonna have to check the voltages and things later though.

Tribes: Ascend rises on XBLA, PC this year

Hi-Rez Studios announced last year that it's doing something massive with the Tribes IP. It just revealed a much smaller-scale project as well. Tribes: Ascend is an Unreal Engine 3-based, multiplayer-only, downloadable Tribes game heading to XBLA and PC in 2011.

"Tribes fans appreciate the game's essence-athletic FPS combat combined with teamwork and strategy," Hi-Rez COO Todd Harris told PC Gamer. "As we began development of Tribes Universe, we focused first on capturing that essence-refining and modernizing iconic elements like jetpacks, skiing, and vehicles. We've had tremendous fun play-testing and realized the potential of a multiplayer focused title ahead of Tribes Universe."

Rocket past the break to see the trailer, which openly positions the game as a followup to Tribes
