resolution of xbox 360 out ? wat tv is best

hey guys

i am about to buy this tv

Toshiba 26HF85C

Now what i wnat to know is the exact amount of resolution xbox premium with that 6 wire hd compositve cable gives out ?

I read this Tv's specs and it says

- Selectable 540p/1080i Display
-HD TheatreWideâ„¢ Modes (480i,480p/1080i)

Now does that mean i cant get 720 p on the TV ?

One of my buddys was saying only elite gives out a 1080i/p signal.

The xbox premium cant give out a 1080 signal since it has no HDMI output .

Please explain to me how this resolution system works ?

whats the resolution signal that a xbox premium gives out ?

And if xbox premium dosent give out 1080 at all . will i be getting a 480p on this tv while playing my xbox max ?

the xbox 360 supports 1080i/p since the Fall update last year. As long as the game supports 1080i/p the game will run in 1080i/p. Just set the 360 to output 1080i/p(what ever your tv supports) And if you play a game that doesnt use that resolution the 360 should scale it down to 720p.

But i KNOW for a fact that the 360 can output 1080i through the component cables. Because i have a friend who has his set up like that.
