I have an unbanned 360 Version 78FK. Using the posts and good tuts this site has I have flashed it as the hacking for noobs tut says. I just did what it said and never changed anything. So the firmware will be XTREME as it shows in the tut. I have not been on live with this firmware but now need to go on line. What I don't understand is how to restore a 78KF! And if I do will this mean it's safe to go on line? And I can then flash back and forth anytime, can I? So what should I be looking at? Any help would be appreciated.

Yes I understand that but I just have Xtreme on it and so would have to use restore to change it! And this is my problem, if I restore to update the firmware can I go live first? Because I don't want to go live with a flashed firmware! I want to restore go live then flash back. Can this be done and how? I have been banned before on a different box lol.

this should help

Upgrading From Older Firmware?
If you are upgrading from an older hacked firmware, like a previous GaryOPA firmware, a Birdy firmware, or the original Commodore4Eva package, you must restore your drive to the original firmware before continuing. If you are flashing the firmware to a stock drive, ignore this section and skip to “Flashing The Drive.”
Right-click on the X-LG folder and select “Open Command Window Here.” A command window should open up.
Type in the following command and hit Enter:
RESTORE.BAT X
Where X is the drive letter of your Hitachi drive.
It will restore the firmware back to the original. This is necessary before flashing to the latest firmware. After restoring the firmware, it is probably a good idea to disconnect the SATA cable, power off the Xbox 360 and PC, then continue the process of getting the drive into ModeB before flashing with the updated firmware.

got it from here

I don't see how I can use toolbox without having my box hooked up! (to check). When I followed the above tut I thought restore may be in the Rule Set pull down but never looked as I was just doing what it said. Do you say it may be here? As for the info on restore you have mentioned, is this not for use in a command window? This open command window is not used for a 78FK.
