Restoring Avatars After RGH

I've been looking on sites on how to restore avatars after RGH as I've lost mine. I think looking at the info because I'm not using external storage ?
Anywho it seems installing the "same" official dash as my RGH version will restore the avatars, I've got my official 2.0.13604.0 "$systemupdate" folder named as quoted without the quotes of course :tongue: on my fat32 formated usb stick but when I put it into my 360 I get no update prompt
Does the RGH block usb updates ? I know it blocks live ones. Can I run a file in the $systemupdate folder through xex ? and update that way.

thats because you are using dashlaunch version 2.5 or later!

by default it stops updates running unless you edit the ini file or rename the update on the USB stick to $$ytemupdate.

Once the thumb drive is inserted have you tried restarting the Xbox ? It should then prompt you for the update....

You need to rename the
Folder to $$ystemUpdate

Are you sure you had the official M$ update,or did you download it from another source.Had this problem, tried renaming the update but that didn't work.Downloaded the update from M$ and it installed no problem without renaming it.
