I dont have one of those tools... but would hair or a piece of cotton from a Q-tip cause a short?Hmmm, you might try ohming (not continuity) all points on the Demon and make sure they read 0 ohms to the onboard NAND Also ensure you have a steady 5V on the Demon.
I turned it on with it in the chassis with no screws, then turned it on with everything put back togetherOut of curiosity when you put it back in the chassis did you put all the screws back in then try and boot it again or did yo do them in stages??
I got a Slim off Ebay with Red dot and when i took it out the chassis it worked put it all back wouldnt work. Started putting all the screws back in section by section and discovered there was a problem with the RF board! Changed it for another one and it worked fine and the best bit was put the faulty RF board in another console and it worked fine lol
It's still beeping. and it still boots when the blue light is off (retail nand)You said in the first post that you didn't get anything but a beep when you pressed the power button. Is this still the case or is in just not booting?
in the chassis without screws it did workSo did it work in the chassis with NO screws r not? Or was it a case of as soon as you put it back in the chassis it wouldnt work?
Ok, I'll try thatTry putting the screws back in section by section. I.E. CPU screws, then try and boot it, if that works try the main bard screws and boot it again, if that works move on to the RF board that way you are isolating the problem
