Retail boots fine, getting e-71 or e-79 error

Hello there, I doing this trinity mb with a CR pro and Demon. I have retail side booting with no problem. But the demon side I having the two error codes depend what I try with the final image. I have some bad blocks on the motherboard its self and there's some bad blocks on the demon as well. From what I had read its probley something to do with these bad blocks and how I doing the writing the final image. This first demon I have done that has given me this problem so I guess its time to learn about bad blocks and how to get around them etc.. I have pictures of the install I just need to get them off my camera. Also have my jrunner log also. When I get the e-71 error is when I do get the rgh side to boot into fsd. Then I try to go the regular dashboard through the center button on the controller then selecting system. It then goes to the e-71 error and get a red dot on the Ring of lights. Then when I try to take the image and not use the demon/fusion remap option and load that image I get E-79 error when it finally glitches. Any help would be nice, thanks.

I have tried that, It boots up and loads fsd. As soon as I got to mini blade and select the option to go into the regular dash to like load or format the hdd stuff like that. It goes to a red dot and E-71 error. Heres the log when I did what you said which I did before and same results.

Load your NAND in J-Runner and go to Tools | Hex Editor.

What line is the 0x12c? what should it look like in hex editor 00000120? Sorry asking never had to get into this much detail of nands.

I used hex workshop and loaded the nand image and then used the goto and typed 0x12c and it took me to the right spot I guess... Which is 0000012b and then over two spaces which shows 00 and on far right is shows just .......... Am i in the right area and in the right area or right direction. Thanks again.

Is it normal to get a error when writing back to the nand on the xbox it self when theres bad blocks? I'm still trying to figure out why i getting the error code. If I don't put the fsd on the hdd or use a thumb drive to boot up with it automatically goes to e-79 error code. If I use the thumb or hdd to load the fsd on it. It will boot up and then If i try to go to the system menu I get the e71 error code.

Am I missing something here?? you say retail boots fine, but your having problems with demon fitted ? Surely this indicates something to do with the installation?

Jrunner will remap the bad blocks so unless there are loads of bad blocks (usually indicated by bad nand connections) then there should be no problems

Ive noticed on your pics that the yellow connection to the mobo looks dodgy to say the least and the red cable (unless its the reflection) does too.

i would check all your connections and re-do if necessary and try again

That sounds to me like you didn't build a "noremap" image.

So, in JR, go to the XB Settings tab. Hit "Advanced Xebuild Options," then tick the "noremap" button. After you hit OK, make sure the "use edited settings" button is checked.

Then create your RGH image. Then write it to the demon by hitting Advanced -> Demon/Fusion Write.

Tryed to write the upflash with xell, it shows 4 or 5 bad blocks.

Also when I do write with xell this time, it only shows two bad blocks. When It boots I get a screen that video locks up in bars and red light on the front panel comes on but no e- error.
