GENERAL Retrieve key by jtaging

I bought xbox 360 off ebay it was supposed to have open tray fault a new laser fixed that, I'm left with a dvd player! wrong drive for box and no way of getting key,I'm sure I read somewhere you can retrieve key by jtaging, can someone possibly point me in the right direction,the dash is 7371.

but remember all consoles except Xenons, can now have the Reset Glitch Hack performed on them, so the key can be got that way. Including slims

Having the NXE Dashboard is not the indicator and just because your dash is in the 7XXX series does not mean you can not exploit it. The only fact is that any the 8XXX latest versions CANNOT be done. There is a slim chance the 7363 or 7371 can still be exploited. There is no "Downgrading".

There's more than a slim chance, its highly likely it CAN be jtagged, especially if the manufacture date is before 18th June 2009 and it hasn't been to microsoft for a repair.

If u want to jtag then the procedure in your case should be straight forward

Read nand with nanpro with LPT 2 times is recommended BUT me i go 4 all the time just bc u r gonna use it for around 6 months and to flash it about a day... so its better safe than sorry

Write Xell turn on xbox and get CPU keys then use to decrypt your KV (key vault) which then gives you your DVD key, then u can install Freeboot or continue it as a Live console

if in the end the glitch will be your friend if your CB is not exploitable... win

At the moment...YES.....
If it's not exploitable...no JTAG
If it's a Xenon - no RGH as they don't use HANA...only ANA - the reset glitch hack needs the board to have a HANA chip atm
Still - not all is lost....the drive can be stripped for spares, or sold as a whole unit.....
the case can be sold, so can the heatsinks....If you have a rework station, you could lift the CPU and GPU and sell those too
