Hey guys! I have an old xenon jtag laying around that I got banned online after being dumb a couple of years ago. The console boots into xell when pressing the power button, but nothing else. It runs a whole bunch of stuff accross xell's screen. So here is the video:

I'm unsure as to why it's like that. The soldering job looks pretty mehhh, but then again I also didn't do it, and given that a friend did it for free, I don't care LOL. But yeah. The console has been under my bed for a while, so there is plenty of dust I doubt it is that. But here are pictures of the wiring.

Thanks!

Any ideas as to how to get it to boot up? I think I need to reflash it. Unfortunately I don't have the original flash, it got lost on an old computer. But, I do have an update nand that was used for it that was lying around on an old thumb drive. Also, I have a J-Runner on the way. It's currently in germany, and should be here in two days. Thanks! IF you need anything else, just let me know!

Sorry about that, was super tired when I wrote the original, But I have updated the post with all the information I have. Thanks!

Also, please ignore all of the dust in the pictures, haven't had a chance to clean the console. Also, I think I need to reflow the board again and I only put in one of the components for the AV. LOL.

Dump the current NAND contents, make a note of the CPU key and build a 16547 Xenon JTAG image.

The JTAG wiring is fine because the console boots to XeLL.

I would consider putting some heat shrink tubing on those wires where the diodes are to stop them touching other components on the board.

Just a quick question regarding flashing, since I've been out of the game so long, I can't remember. Since I have the CPU key and DVD key (in the video it shows it) is it possible that I could just build the image before the jrunner gets here? I could flash it via CD? (Does it work that way? I can't remember)

if you have a new enough version of xell, then yes you can. if not, then another app, 360nandflasher, will be needed on the disk also. also make sure your nand image is names updflash.bin, and do not forget to remove power from console for at least 30sec, before trying to boot up. as far as the xell errors, try hooking up the DVD Drive, and I bet those go away.

Okay. I'll try that out tonight after I get home. Gotta get it in first if you catch my drift. LOL. I'll update with any results. Just throw the .elf on the root with the nand and update right?

Alright. An update on how things went...

I couldn't flash with a CD as every time I would connect the DVD drive the console would E74, (damn xenon) so I decided to see if I could flash via usb in xell and it worked. So I had a new nand flashed, and then I got an E74 when I booted it up, so I reflowed the entire board, it worked worked after it cooled off, then I tried the DVD drive, no go, thing was fried, opened it up to see what was going on, and it was dead, so since it is an old console that I haven't used I decided to try my new soldering skills to try the internal hard drive mod, I gutted the DVD Drive, threw in an old desktop drive, soldered it all up and bam it worked. I was amazed. LOL. Definitely enjoying having some homebrew right now. Thank you guys for all the help! Just getting impatient now for my package to come in, it's getting frustrating! Lol.

And sorry for all the commas. Too tired t ouse good grammar and punctuation.
