ANSWERED RGH 0401 slim drive doesn't work

I just RGH my 4 gig slim with the coolrunner chip and it boot up pretty quick most times under 10seconds sometimes up to 30 seconds.

Anyways all is well except I can not read original or copied games off my 0401 drive.

Do I need to flash the firmware on that drive as well? I'm able to play and load games via ftp but no other way. I can't even play dvd's which pisses off the wife.

sounds like you messed up your drive somehow, maybe go ask that site that you linked for help since you used their tutorial, and not one from this forum
should have used one from here , then help might be able to be given

Should be able to read dvds and originals. I mean even though you have a rgh you'll still need the firmware hack for backed up games.

well only you know what you've done , as you used a tutorial frome elsewhere, doing rgh on a console shouldn't stuff up your drive, only would need to flash your drive to play backups..
originals and dvd's shouldn't have a problem as has been already stated unless somehow you've disconnected your drive
what error comes up...play dvd, open tray, anything???
some software used when doing a RGH will give you the option of not having a dvd drive, maybe you have done that

This is the same problem im having. Everything is working fine except originals won't read at all. I'm also using a slim 360 the gears 3 edition.

Thanks for the responses. Its an 0401 drive and it doesn't recognize the dvd or anything. It just allows me to open the drive. I used a banned kv for the 0401 drive and put in the correct cpu and dvd key. I double checked in kv editor with the picture I took from xell.

I'm using a coolrunner chip so thats why I came here. Chip works awesome otherwise.

I've Jtagged old consoles and flashed many drives so this isn't my first time out but I'm by now means a total expert. Thats why I need help. I don't post often because I'm usually able to find answers on my own.
