Hi all, first timer here. Would be really grateful if any would could give me some advice on how to get my old RGH going in time for Christmas. I'll try to be succinct.

* Problem: Tried to flash nand, messed it up somehow and now it won't boot. Lost the original nand.

* Things i have: CPU key, dvd key, messed up 'updflash.bin'. Genuine coolrunner from recommend retailer listed on this site. Jr programmer.

* What i've tried: Orginally it was so messed up that no power was getting into the xbox.

> Followed this tutorial http://www.se7ensins.com/forums/thr...ing-dumps-erasing-corrupting-the-nand.989323/ and now it powers on but it's just a black screen and xell won't boot.

> Followed this tutorial also but it doesn't boot. http://www.se7ensins.com/forums/thr...get-a-cr4-like-experience-phats-only.1349194/

> Erased the nand and rebuilt an image using extracted SMC, KV from 'updflash.bin' (this is probably stupid as it's corrupt but thought it was worth a try)

* I think the soldering is good, no tiny particles between points or flux. Jrunner reads matching nands but there are two bad blocks.

All ideas and advice is welcome, would love to get it going for some nostalgic christmas gaming with the family.

Thanks for any help

Hi, what do you mean by "messed up updflash.bin" ? Are you sure that you don't have any other backup on a flash drive or at Jrunner folder or wherever? Those two bad blocks are probably just physical bad blocks, nothing to worry about.

The "messed up updflash.bin" is what the file I messed up, the xbox won't boot when I write it to the nand. I definitely don't have the original nand dump. This originally happened about 12 months ago so it's long gone, I worked in Italy for a year so I had to leave xbox behind, but for some reason i backed up the CPU key and the updflash.bin that doesn't boot. I didn't really know what i was doing to be honest.

I bought it modded and had updated it a few times without problem but then I messed it up when trying to update dash/nand to play The Evil Within

First of all you need to fill help template and add good quality pictures of your install and coolrunner.

And then if everything is set as it should be simply create ecc and write it. Console should boot to xell.
