RGH 1 or RGH2

Can some one explain when sould we use RGH1 and when RGH2 ?

I have console slim 4Gb trinity and dash 15574. For all slim models is RGH 2 what i have read :



But i have prepare with xebuild the image from the original nand dumb (console slim 4Gb trinity and dash 15574) and i have select the RGH2 and the soft say me that the console not to work with RGH 2. I dont uderstand this problem. Explai someone pls. Thanks.

Depend the usage of glitch1 or 2 on the CB version only ?

Use J-Runner instead of xeBuild. Problem solved.

To answer your question, there's no such thing as RGH1 for slims. All slims have split CBs which is the difference between the two methods.

Thanks you for answer but i want update my dashboard with USB and i have before instaled RGH 2 and now xebuild show me this warning that i solud use RGH1, can i make this update with j-runner?

I'm not familiar with xeBuild GUI so I don't know why your getting that error. I do know that J-Runner is friendly to use and will automatically select the RGH version based on the CB and console type. Give it a shot.

There is only one version of RGH for Slim. You can call it whatever you want. Sometimes it's called RGH2 because RGH2 for Phats was based on the code of original RGH for Slims.

Updating your dashboard through USB is possible through Flash360. Which is just a piece of software which can be run on any JTAG/RGH console. I would however recommend to use J-Runner since it has an update over LAN feature which is way better than update over USB imho.

and you can get the latest dashlaunch that is important when playing your games.

Dashlaunch can also be installed on the harddrive. But for the update over LAN using J-Runner you will indeed need to have dashlaunch running on your Xbox with UPDSERV enabled.
