hi guys got a jasper 16mb bb here, with some help from blakey ive got the missing dvd key from xell, but try as we may wont boot to dash.

here is the story

wiring correct and perfect , cpu rst is using good coax though its just coax from back of my sky installation.

i know everyone say put pics up, but trust me i can microsolder with the best of them out there, i do this for a living.
the soldering is upto my normal standards, check my link in sig for pics.
would put pics on but my camera is rubbish in this light, will try to add some tomorrow.

now if i flash the eec xell boots from instant to 30 secs.
blakey has created me a couple of freeboot images and these refuse to boot.
cap is removed 10 ohm resistor fitted on point d.

i have tried every xsvf available and still nothing.
the created images wont boot to xell or the dash rgardless of how long it is left.

i have tried alternate points for clk stby, literally tried everything me and blakey have come up with!

dash is 14719, cb is 6753, cpu key B2B3C40A68AD07E7BEAD598C6265203D

i would hate to put this back to stock even though it has allowed me to get the dvd key!

noticed cb on orig dash is 6753 and new image is 6752!

no luck pal, just the same i can write orig image and its boots as normal, i can write the eec and it boots in less than 30 seconds, but modded images wont produce xell let alone freeboot!, i can overwrite the eec onto the modded and that just produces xell regardless of eject or power on.

this is a rev b coolrunner will bridging the cap make any difference? as tried when doing xell and it seemed to take longer!!

have now flashed stock back to nand and tested, boots no problem so tried to do a 256 nand to make sure it hasnt been case swapped and it carry's on reading past the 3FF point is this possible on a 16mb bb reported board?

case sticker matches j-runner information, its in a black elite case.

I'm in the same boat pal,
16 mb big block jasper, tried everything i can think of to get it booting a glitched image but nothing. it boots the .ecc instantly.
glitched images just wont kick in,
retail boots fine,

if you have any luck with it let me know.

i cant find a definitive answer to whether a 16mg bb can be read past the 3FF point?!!

sorry ezzda but im glad its not just me with this issue, at least proves im not going mad!!

Feeling quite shy i'll just ask this question. Shouldn't bb jasper NAND be 64MB not 16MB??

yep 6753 and the glitched image is 6752
I'll try reading it as a 256 now give me a sec.

im just gonna try 512 and go bed while it does it,lol

in for a penny in for a pound.
but on that theory i should double that as we know its impossible!

there are jaspers of a few variations

16mb small block
16mg big block
256 big block
512 big block

this thing doesnt show any internal memory at all in dash!

well i've just got a 64 mb dump from this 16mb big block jasper
so it looks like it does have more than 16 mb on it.

I am having the same issue with 16mb jasper with a big block controller. I will be finishing this up tonight if I find anything I will post results.

im dumping 512 at the mo and past 256 with no bad blocks!

Try making a 13599 image and seeing if it boots. Make sure ldv is correct

why would a single cb boot dash help on a split cb boot system

i want to know why its booting xell from the .ecc file almost instantly but wont even entertain the glitch image.
I wonder if there's a bug in the creation process.

Seems like big block jaspers might need coolrunners v2 to work. Maybe ubergeek can shed some light on this issue. I'll get a jasper tomorrow and try getting it.

Definitely something up - just re-wrote stock (with ecc) and it glitched fine into xell.

As soon as I write a built gg build image, it's 0022.

Set patchsmc=true and it gives an endless cycle of attempted glitching...

Most definitely not my soldering
