RGH and Achievements

I have a flashed Xbox 360, but with the recent Xbox One update being able to play 360 games and M$ saying they are dropping support for the 360 January 1 2016 it looks like 360 online capabilities are a soon to be dinosaur. The only online thing that I want/need is achievements, I love em. So here's my question:

Can I RGH my Xbox and still keep earning achievements with my live account (don't need to play online, just want achievements)? If so, how does one do it safely? If not, is there another way to earn achievements while booting games from an external?

U can still earn achievements on a rgh xbox the same way as a normal xbox. But u wont be able to earn any achievements that require u to connect to live.
