ANSWERED RGH and Xbox Live - Video Kinect?

I suspect the answer is no but I'll ask anyway ...

I've got a glitched box with LT2.0 fw on the DVD drive. To my the knowledge the box has never been on Live and anyway by default access to Live is blocked.

Whilst I'm not bothered about playing games on Live I recently got a Kinect and would have liked to use the video kinect service which requires Live.

Am I right in saying even if I don't play any games on live I will get banned if I use any Live services? I think I've read that Live will detect modified fw/hardware and so issue a ban?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

If you have a RGH Xbox 360 and you would go on live you would be banned almost immediately. If you drive is flashed with and you do not have RGH done you can still access live. So basically if you have RGH you can not use any part of live, even just video chat, with out being banned.

My failed - ish RGH has now got LT3.0 on it and a retail image I made with multibuilder .. Coolrunner set to Prog , online safe so it is (4 days upto now). A bit of hassle but hey. It's solid.
