ANSWERED RGH console just stop turning on wires are ok

Sorry for this second post as incorrectly hijacked a thread. My problem is that after leaving
my phat RGH consolefor a week it would not power on by eject or power button. Read posts which says its STBY-CLK.
Check it with scope and also exposed trace wire and get probe and get good readings.

Stripped off all wires and flashed back original nand but still not luck.

Funny thing. if i connect the nand-x blue/brown wires to motherboard and power via usb.
Then dis-connect nand-x then push on button the power comes on rrod no fan.
I turn it of then on and it starts up. It will power on as normal as long as
i do not turn it off at the mains.

Can any one shed some light. Sorry if i missed the answer some where.

I had a very similar problem a few days ago. Turned out it was the quick solder board on the stby_clk point. Even though I had perfect continuity over the point right back to the coolrunner. Removed it and it booted straight in.

Get a multimeter and check if your STBY_CLK has continuity.

Good shout using the alt point for STBY_CLK, save any potential future issues. I'm not sure what else to suggest at the moment. What else have you tried at this point?

I had this problem before, ended up being the green wire causing issue, i think it was short or something.. I ended rerouting it and xbox came back on.. Give that a try
