Have you checked to make sure that you don't have one of the small amount of faulty cables where the blue and yellow cables were swapped around?

Also, have you soldered the CR into the xbox yet or are you trying to program it before installing?

Why not try using the coolrunner programmer by coolshrimp make things a piece of cake
