I accidentally flashed a phat nand dump in this corona. Through MartinC helped, I was able to revive it. I forgot exactly what I did since it was several months ago. But the owner said its say Play DVD. I tried reflashing with no fcrt enabled but no go. How can I fix this? I think I dont have the original nand dump anymore since this was done years ago when the corona v1 was first rghd...

When did u return this box to owner? Has he accidentally updated it? Otherwise if its been working fine for years then its not a firmware/NAND issue, it's most likely a laser/ drive issue.

Several months ago, but I think they were not using the dvd and I can't remember testing it either after reviving the nand. Not sure if they updated it. I think they didn't update it since it is still has rgh and they always bring it to me for update. Thats my first theory too that its laser/lens issue but I remembered this was the unit that I revived the nand. I might have done something wrong then.

It showing also the xbox logo when I play an orig DVD game, is this still a symptom of bad lens?

The dvd drive was not modified in anyway since it is PLDS DG-16D5S 1175

i never see a bad lens with Play DVD message , but since you get Play DVD on Orig this means the DVD key not matched you may mixed between 2 different pcbs
you can check the current PCB FW on JungleFlasher and the nand OSIG in JRunner if they didn't matched then its not the Original PCB

Can't check 16d5s firmware can't dump it or write to it.

I didn't touch the dvd at all. So no mixing of the pcb I think.
I already forgot how I did revive the nand (just with short circuiting the pins) and with what dump...I can't find anymore the original nand dump :(

isnt there a step in the LTU FW preparation that uses the original PCB to verify the data in the new FW? im not sure about what it actually check but im sure the verification will fail if the PCB doesnt match the data.

dump whats on there and make a new retail image from whats there, if the KV is the original one it should boot retail but if its not the original the retail nand wont boot.

if the original nand boots and you havent touched the DVD then im clueless unless the dvd works on retail side.

Now I remember... I think I used a donor nand from another corona...

serial number on the KV info is 441106520105 while on the case it is 539882714205

If you used Its KV also then you will need a LTU PCB to get it going again.

EDIT: it could work If you use a D4S PCB, inject you KVs dvdkey Into it and make a New nand using the nofcrt patch. I Think i have done this Before.

Idk I thought that step just copied some drive specific data over because what is it verifying it against?

I copied the dvd key from jr
load lt272
click the manual spoof
paste the key and write

but
it says
Authorisation Failed!
Restore Verify Failed !
Sending Vendor Outro to port 0x0000
Drive is Slim Lite-On..

and still play dvd

I'm using a d4s 225 unlocked mxic

what source and target firmware should I use in jf? I can't seems to use LTU1175 jf says
Firmware in target buffer is not lite-on, write aborted.

Flash it with 9504/0272 and after you flashed it use the write key function. Don't forget the nofcrt patch for the nand after that.

Here's how you write the key: https://www.google.se/url?sa=t&sour...hnNYKFPXXKXwT3FDw&sig2=6OqqYlWRZ3iOeMNKVrw7Zg
