Hi i have got a glitched console using Freestyle dash and im unable to download game cover, banners etc. I need to change livestrong; setting in dashlaunch launch.ini but im unsure how to edit this as multibuilder auto installs dashlaunch. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Two ways:

1. FTP to the console and find launch.ini at the root of the drive. edit it from here.
2. Use File Manager and copy the launch.ini to a USB stick. edit it on your PC and copy it back.

Ahh i see, i thought it was maybe hidden with RGH as i couldnt find it lol. Well the launch.ini doesnt exist in root, do i simply just create it and add it? Thanks for the reply.

Edit the sample_launch.ini that comes with dashlaunch to suit your options and FSD location. You'll need to boot to XEX menu or similar to copy to the console. Rename the file to launch.ini.

Thanks its all sorted now. I assumed it would create launch.ini automatically but apparently multibuilder only installs certain patches? I installed latest dashlaunch, configured the .ini and jobs a gud un :p Thanks for the help.

You didn't need to reinstall anything - dashlaunch is just patches into Flash: which multibuilder does for you. All that was needed was the launch.ini copied over.

Nevermind it never done the console any harm and got to change a few other settings. Another thing, my RAM runs at 80 celcius would you recommend heatsinks? Thanks.

80 degrees C? that's way too hot. You're on the borderline for 2 red lights with that. Either get the RAM reflowed or get heatsinks on them. The two under the GPU heatsink can be connected to the GPU heatsink by using thermal paste and a 1mm thick washers.

Yeah thats right, il try the heatsinks first. Though they will need to be pretty small because one of them is directly below the heat pipe : /

you can get around that - use thermal epoxy and stick a heatsink to a shim of flat metal that will stretch between the two RAM chips. You can then use thermal adhesive pads to fix this to both chips.
