ANSWERED RGH doesn't boot (green light only flashes once)

Hi, I recently tried to do the RGH hack, I finally had everything up and soldered (used an alternative point for STBY_CLK) and when I try to boot the red light burns bright which I assume is good but the green light only flashes once. What does this mean? Can't glitch? Or successful glitch after 1 try (probably not.

I've searched and found a few things. Tried all different video outputs (composite/component/HDMI), no change. Someone said maybe the Nanddump was bad, but checked it out in flash tool and the bad blocks tab isn't even there. I've tried checking out the soldered points- all seems to be well. Is it my wiring then? What could it be?

Ah damn! I forgot about that pic. Trying it out now... Hopefully I won't mess up trying to move the wiring :p

Thanks

Just did the wiring different and now I'm getting a RROD? code 0002...

Googling tells me something about network, not sure how to fix

Also put a lot of insulatation tape (even more than on the pic is showing). Insulation tape can't cause any trouble can it?

Insulation tape shouldn't be a problem, but soldering of your pll_bypass seems to be dodgy. pic is not clear but looks like too much cable exposed and shorting circuit.

Agreed. Same goes for most other points about the exposed wire length, though others don't look like they should be causing problems.

And FYI, when it successfully glitches, you'll get the dancing green lights around the ring like a normal power on, followed by the solid green center light (plus a controller light if the controller is on and connected).

Thanks, since I moved the wires around I'm guessing that caused the rrod... I'll cut it short and redo it. Might do the same for the other wires.

What's the recommended size on the stock cables that come? Cut off half from the exposed side?

Whatever you need to solder it on really. All that technically needs to be exposed is something the size of the pad. Maybe 1/4 the size that it comes??

Thanks for the answers guys, really appricate, however I'm still stuck on the same problem... I rerouted the wires, shortened the exposed part of the one that created a short and yet I still get the 0002 error. I've tried to look everywhere for some part metal or whatever that could also be creating it but I fear the worst right now. I'm 99% sure the RGH wiring itself is now good enough not to create any problems :/ Also using AV yes (composite)

Anyone before I throw in the towel?

Thanks Martin

I'm checking them now, seems to be a lot of dust there so I'll clean it up. Any specific things to look out for? I hear you can test them as well.

Yeah, that doesn't sound like something for me... Just in case it's not the issue and I f**k things up even more. I don't get it though, how could me simply turning the mobo over and rerouting a wire cause that, doesn't add up

Then remove everything you've done, put the stock NAND image back and try to boot it. There will be no influence from any other wiring. If you've not done anything, it'll boot right up.
