GENERAL RGH, forgot to mod drive

Hi guys

Just RGH a falcon that was still on 8955 dash. Xell is booting up etc.

I promised this customer i would flash his drive also.

This drive is still a stock lite-on 74850c.
I believe after the one update all lite-on's got the a unified firmware that works across all the old lite-ons.
It becomes 02510 according to jungle flasher guide.

Is it possible to flash this drive straight to 02510 based LT firmware or do i have to go back to stock MS dash,let the drive update, mod drive and do the whole mission of soldering up NAND flasher again, ecc flash etc etc etc?

You don't need it flashed if it's JTAG'd. If you really want it flashed, reading and 'common sense' are the ideal tools here.

Will the drive still work 100% with the new dash even though its stock?

I thought the dash would check if the drive would be updated and if not maybe error out as the drive is not detected as 02510

Spot on - so either apply 02510 stock or LT3

So you had the answer but didn't trust yourself

Havent used jungle flasher in AGES!.

Drives firmware is still showing as 74850c stock.
Will it allow me to flash 02504 straight away?

Just load whatever 0251 firmware you want, manually spoof the DVD key and flash it
