[RGH] Instant Glitch = Freeze, long boot = Good

Had my Jasper 256mb with Cap running for weeks. Every time, when I turn it on and if it glitches after 5 seconds, everything is good (works for hours)..but if it glitches within 3-5 seconds (instant glitch) it would freeze within a min or 2 (either in the dashboard or in game).

Everyone wanted instant glitch, but mines always failed me. So, I just wonder if anyone has run into this kind of problem or know what the problem is?

Like, I said, the Xbox360 works perfectly if it glitches after 5 seconds. Only instant glitch give me problems.

haven't try without the hdd, it should do the same thing as it freezes at the fsd dashboard even when I don't move anything, but I would try it out and see

Try to shield or isolate the CPU_RST wire.

Just tried without the hdd (got instant glitch after 7 boots) and it still freezes at retail dash after like 1 minute. The other boot times were not too bad, mostly at the 9 second mark (used a timer) and instant glitches happens 1 or 2 times in 10 boots. Not too much of a big deal since it freezes before the game reaches the title screen, no big lost.

Will try to play around with the wire this weekend and see if the instant glitch (glitch) will go away.

im having this problem too. did the exact same wiring as the picture above. this was my first time running the green wire through the xclamps. that could be the problem.

I always run the green wire under the xclamps. It's the CPU_RST wire you need to isolate/insulate.

I would try and insukate the wires from the board as I had random freezing on my jasper. I personally used duck tape between the board and all three wires underneath and it has ot missed a beat since.

Added a bit of shielding to the Blue Wire and things seems to be pretty good


14 different boot times:
6 9 16 5 10 5 10 10 16 32 15 10 10 16 and no freezing on 5 second boots
