I was having issue with boot time on a few of my 360s so i was messing around with them to see if i could improve them in anyway.

I got some wire with decent insulation that the coolrunner wires would fix into nicely

i but them to the correct size of my coolrunner cables, took out the crappy wire so i just had the empty insulation. put my wires through and installed it. now my slim will 9/10 glitch within 5 or 6 seconds

i have now done this to 2 of my slim 360s and also 3 customers 360s. 80% of the time it will boot instant or within 5 or 6 seconds

i was incredibly happy so i thought i would post, maybe it will help you guys out too

How about using thin coax?
Or 2 pole headset wire and using the outer conductor as a shield?

Remember to ground the shield on one end for better shielding.

not tried that, only reason i tried the cable sheath i used is because i had tons of it at work and we use it in electrical wiring in panels to reduce noise and emf which can cause alot of problem. best of luck

You stole my idea lol (not really but I had the same thought). I haven't tried this yet but a planed to on my next rgh install. Im expecting good results. Im guessing that a lot of problems can be solved by simply shielding the bottom side wires. Its worth a try at least. I will be sure to post my results when I do try it within the next few days. Just waiting on my CR.

I just had a stubborn Jasper. It did not glitch.

I replaced the blue wire with a thin coax wire. Shield grounded at one end. The blue wire was routed identically to the black coax wire in the picture.

BAM. Xell and dash started within 1-2 green blinks.

Will this coaxial wire work or is it not small enough?

I've searched all over Google and I can't find a reseller that sells it by foot besides this site.

you could try it, in my experience coaxial made it worse on multiple 360s

Oh really? I've never heard of it hurting. Although I have heard some interference is good. The last console I did I tried wrapping the wire in aluminium foil and wrapped that in electrical tape and it helped so I thought I would try to find some not so ghetto wire.

From what you can tell is that wire similar in size to what comes with the coolrunner?

almost, a little smaller but to be honest wire size doesnt matter as i have used tiny wire on a test 360 and it still worked pefect on a phat and slim. hope this helps

Yeah I've used 30awg kynar wire also, smaller and works fine.

I just wanted to be sure that the wire would fit with the cage, fan, etc. on since the insulation would make it thicker.

worth a try m8, you wont know until you do. trial and error is a factor of slim 360s
