Guys can someone shed some light on this, basically have a RGH box running FSD / dashlaunch. When connected to the wireless network at home if i try and test the connection (just to get to net - xbox live is blocked) it says "An update may be required to connect to xbox live and test your connnection. while connected to xbox ilve, your console may send information about your connection, console and errors to xbox live."

As far as i can work out, freestyle dash just can't connect to the internet at all for cover art etc. and i can only assume this message has something to do with the root cause. i however don't want to accept this update and botch the fsd/dl

Anyone any ideas?

He wants to go online for fsd not live.

If its prompting for live update just dismiss it. This happens when i use my live profile on a old dash as well. I would assume that b/c it prompts you your connection is fine. Just open fsd and see if it lists an ip. Xexmenu will tell you too

This has to be given the most useless post of the day award. Please don't listen to this advice he obviously hasn't heard of xebuild :)

lol @ xbox360 hacker, a very valid point.

Yes apologies i should have clarified - im not trying to get on live i just wanted internet access for FSd for covers etc. seems to be working now so thanks guys :)

Anyone know if there is a such thing as a internet browser for a xbox 360 slim rghed thanks pm me....

Reinstall dashlaunch. Set block live dns to yes, block aggressively to no, and block from finding system updates. fsd will connect for covers, but live connection will be blocked.
