Ok so something weird has happened with my newly RGH'd Jasper, when I press on (be it from the eject button, the power button or with a pad) it doesn't power up, at all.
I have taken it back to bits and I can see when plugged in the coolrunner has its light on...
I have tried a couple of power bricks and it hasn't helped.
The power brick light is also orange.....

WTF it was working earlier today......

The last thing I was trying to do was run xmenu on my box I got an error running it but I somehow don't think it would have caused this......

If it helps, here is the error I got when trying to run xmenu through xell reloaded:

Will it turn on without the CR attached? If it won't then I would say you broke the trace and need to repair that first. And any pics are better than no pics at all.

Ive just resoldered to the point and the joint looks good. If I completely remove coolrunner is it safe to boot it up with xell reloaded/freeboot installed?

No you'll have to reflash the original nand for it to boot. But if you're not getting any power than there is a real issue.

Check the STBY_CLK line with a multimeter and see if there is continuity. If not than repair the trace. Also check the resistor on that line. You might wanna check out the traders section for someone that can repair it for you before there is anymore damage done.

Power brick doesn't really matter. he is going to say orange. He either lifted the trace or blew resistor. With no pictures we can't tell.

I checked the voltage between the soldered point and where it connects to the coolrunner and it says 0V

I am beginning to think I may need to send it off.

Can you recommend someone good to take a look at it? I am in the UK....

This is hopless. you need to scatch the trace on the stby_clk and then test continuity from the pad. Also test the resistance of the resistor to make sure it reads 31 to 34 ohms. Also you may have manged to shift the resistor enough not to make a good connection.

Then you most likely have a damaged trace. If your not comfortable with scratching the trace I would recommend sending it to someone.
