check continuity between these two points in my pic (there should be 33 ohms), if there is none, you can put a 33ohm resistor between them (use kynar wire to solder the resistor leads to the test points), and it should boot...this bypasses the broken trace and resistor up top, and there is no need to scrape/solder traces.

you can then solder a wire from the coolrunner to the FT2R2 side of the resistor

I see a lot of people trying to solder a through hole resistor to the traces and f up...Once that trace from the resistor to the via to the hana is gone, your box is history.
