Its not for a customer its for my son but Im just trying to figure out if its something I soldered or hardware failures with the xbox but it wont give any error codes just shuts off after it flashes four times

I thought about that too because the screen says the xbox or the power supply but im almost thinking it might be the cr4.I'd just hate to give it to my kid and have it break or something go wrong right after I give it to him you know what I mean. I have a multimeter in hand and im going to check ohms from the post out
I really dont know how to use this, Can someone tell me where the dial should be for me to check the ohms at the post fix adapter? 
Hey guys I just found some info about removing resistor R1R1 because the xbox shuts off if the glitching goes past 5 cycles.That actually sounds like it might be my case as it always shuts off and red rings after the fourth time the cr4 glitches. Anyone know if it is indeed safe to remove that resister R1R1?

[/FONT][/COLOR]How good is your soldering? check the resistance first, try and remove it without losing it, if it doesn't help, solder it back on or replace with a through hole resistor

I tried setting it at the 200 mark in the ohm section but it never showed a solid number it would only flash 70 or 120 or 38 I dont know if I did it right but reguardless I did some reading up on the corona v6 which is what this console is and very similar issues with the xbox shutting off after the fourth glitch attempt....it makes more sense now when it didnt red ring for like 20 boots its because the chip was kickin ass and booting under five cycles and the one time it needed a few more cycles it just shuts off. If my trinity was a v6 im sure it would do this same thing because it to occasionally takes 6 cycles
Its always after the fourth blink....I counted and it was the same every time but ive been messing with it all night and now ive got it tuned a little it really doesn't do it so im pretty content with the way it is as of right now. Does anyone have any input on the R1R1 resister? Is it ok to take out?

Just remove the resistor The bad effect can be the console wont power up no lights at all
I have personally done 20 RGH installs on Emodel super slim 4 Gig and never had to remove that Resistor
But that does not mean sh*t!!! Remove that resistor try and save it. If you loose the resistor dont panic
If your console does not power on after removal and you lost the resistor just bridge that connection with solder

Honestly Its for christmas and my luck I would take it off then the box would stop working so im just going to leave it in for now as it works 15 out of 16 times and the little guy would be pissed if his sister got a modded xbox and he didnt. And yes ionix its always after the fourth blink on cr4 so im very confident its the issue with some v6 4gb xboxes.
I have the same console with the same problem. I was wondering if your having any freezing, fatal crash intercepted, or shut off during gaming?

Check if you have Winond ram. I had same problem. Later noticed it was corona v6 with Winbond ram. And there is fix for Winbond ram in latest J-runner.
