RGH RGH or (X)ODE?

Hi,

I'm new to the Xbox 360 scene and would like to know what are the advantages of RGH over ODE and vice versa?

I'm planning on getting on Xbox 360 Slim E 4GB (latest version) and either get it RGH waiting for the latest Xecuter CR4 XL (final one apparently), Xecuter XODE (can take both 2.5 or 3.5" HDD's internal) or 3K (my last option if I really ODE has more advantages, very mature chip).

I main question after which method chip to get is whether RGH, XODE or 3K are safe for future dashboard updates and for use with a Silver Live! account, I don't plan on playing online with either method although I will have the Xbox 360 connected to the internet with my Silver account to get the latest game updates, for downloading Demos and for using Internet Explorer.

All opinions are welcome, thanks.

Well i do know with a RGH modded xbox your account and most likely the xbox will be banned from LIVE almost instantly. Any ODE product there still is a slim chance of getting banned but its a very slim chance. You deffently can do more with a RGH system tho like playing Emulators and other homebrew apps and games and also your able to use a custom dash. With a ODE you can only play games without the disk.

Or you can get the best of both worlds. Get a 250 console witch will have a 16mb nand and install a cr4, demon, and xode. That way you have a dual nand. Rgh side for homebrew and stock side for xode

Even with a Silver Live! account used for game updates and dash updates?

Anyway to use the Xbox 360 RGH without a Live account and still connected to internet for game updates and Internet Explorer?

EDIT:

I found the answer to my question, no connection to internet with RGH but I can still get game title updates manually.

U.K.
You can plug your rgh xbox into the net as long as xbox live is disabled in the parental settings (I think that's were it is). Its when you sign into live its does the security checks an kills your xbox. You can still play online with other rgh xbox users through x-link in Freestyledash. FSD does the game title updates for you.
To vaguely answer your question tho, it depends if your good at soldering to rgh, and prepared to read the instructions BEFORE you start, you'll also need a nand reader like jrp and other bits. As far I know the XODE is (will be) plug and play so would be the easiest to fit. But as its not out yet you'll have to wait an find out for sure.
Hope it helps.
Cheers

You don't have to disable xbox live in family settings, just include dashlaunch when you build your NAND and block access live access in your options. FSD will download TUs for you.

Thanks for the reply guys.

I have few options for buying an Xbox 360 right now and thinking which would be a better fit for RGH and possibly FSD (I plan on waiting for the new CR4 XL)?

1. Xbox 360 Slim E 250GB - Very likely Corona v6

2. Xbox 360 Slim S 4GB - Very likely Corona v4

3. Xbox 360 Slim E 4GB - Very likely Corona v6

I highly prefer the a 4GB model which I can use just for game saves and replace/buy the Xbox 360 hard drive closure and replace it with a 1TB hard drive for games.

I know I have an option of adding a 4GB USB memory stick formatted as an Xbox 360 memory unit for game saves on Xbox 360's without the 4GB internal storage.

4gb is slightly hard to read nand have to use a 4gb rw kit

250 gb unit is best then just upgrade hdd or buy external
Would it matter if I'm getting it professionally done?

I mean on my end latter on if I want FSD or upgrading the dash myself after RGH has been done my another person.
