NOTE - you dont need anything else, you should be good. Take your time use flux.

By the time you buy everything you could just get someone, like myself, to do the RGH for you and probably save yourself $100.

WNYConsoles Well of course i tought of that, but if i suceed in doing that on my console, may oppen a small tiny business in my town you know, also, for future updates, i will be able to do them or whatever so yes, i thought of that, thanks for the heads up though =))

1) i dont NEED anything else right? Right, but as WNY points out, you could save yourself money by having someone do it for you. Depending on where you're located.
2) do you think the solder iron, solder and flux are good? They should work.

well like i said,if this works, i might open a tiny business as not alot people in saudiarabia do rghs so maybe will order like 5 other coolrunners if i suceed you know take it step by step =))
i know its waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyy cheaper to give it to someone but like i said

If you plan on doing multiple units, I would highly suggest you get a higher watt soldering iron. (Not to mention tons of practice since it seems you have not soldered much).

would 30w be enough?
well ofcourse i wouldn't try on a customer's xbox that wuld be "..." anyways =))
will get a broken pcb from radiochack and train on it, there goes my last 15 bucks

You know what... Go with it, don't listen to them, If you can learn and read up, Do it...
But if you screw up and If you have to learn the hard way, Do it on your own console, Not someone else's,
Research and, Read, Read.... all the information is here

Also a 30 watt iron will suffice

You dont need the wired cable or pin headers.

You -do- need a nand-x to coolrunner programming cable.

In honesty, you probably don't need the fiberglass brush either, provided you dont screw up.

Get the fiberglass pen anyway, You could use it to clean points also if needed and it could come in handy in the future

Are you doing more than one console? If not, you can get RGH service for less than half that. Unless you just want to do it yourself for fun it seems like a waste of money when you have said your funds are limited.

How much does all this stuff come to?

We all had to make some sort of investment to be able to do what we do and he also stated he wanted to do more than one.

Now that being said I'm all for it if you want to do it yourself just make sure you know the ramifications if you mess up. Read where most people have problems. Also just cause you get the first one to work doesn't mean the 2nd or 50th will. We all make mistakes but when dealing with other peoples box's you need to make sure you are prepared. Good luck and let us know how it goes.
