hi all
i have a Phat-jasper-16M (Flash config read 00023010 when dumping the nand )
i dumped the nand 5 times with no bad blocks and all dumps identical
i installed the coolrunner (first RGH install, but i practiced on an old DVD board) as per images attached, hopefully not too bad but i know it can be done better (no capacitor used)
i tested the points with a multimeter for shorted pins but found none...(i know that pics may seem so, specially with the flux , that's why i tried different angles)

luckily i read what martin said b4 that xbox with original nand should start with coolrunner attached & powered after the green led flashes once

because when i finished attaching CR (with Nor & Phat switches' mode selected), i tried powering xbox (with still original nand) , CR glitches 5 times then RROD 0022
when trying slim mode ---> no green light at all
when selecting program mode on CR, the (red led is sooo dim) and XBOX starts the original dash normally
could the capacitor help ?? or it's bound to be soldering problem
p.s i used impact to program CR with a DIY xilinx lpt programmer (circuit in a sticky here)
any advice is welcome???

A cap is only used for BB jaspers. What did you use to build your glitch file? Did you use multibuilder. Double check your green wire looks a bid bridged.

0022 with CR installed on stock unmodded console swich NOR = poor soldering or connection

if you flashed ecc or anything then there are other nand curputions that cause this aswell so let us know

try using this alt point i had same problem with a falcon but it seemed to boot fine using this

see pic attached cop edited of your own

GSIBOY...i built my glitch image using multibuilder....but as i said i never wrote it to the nand
i wanted to make sure the CR is glitching fine before writing the ecc to the nand ..or i would have a dead xbox by now...(thanx Martin C for the tip http://team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=78694) & i will test the green wire again

thanx mafia2k ..i see ur point... i will try to retest the green wire again although i tested it but maybe the flux is prohibiting the multimeter probes from working

anyone know the resistance from the green pad to the ground should be around what ?

it could help if anyone knows the resistance from the green pad to the ground should be around
i just need some hints to narrow the re-soldering process
here is what i think and please correct me if i am wrong
1- the red wire is for CR power & the CR red led is on so this means power is ok
2-ground is ok too..too easy to miss with...but i wanna ask if the soo dimm red light when CR is in prg mode is normal ?
3-i tested the resistor near the hana (from the right end of the resistor next the chip to the CR orange pad to make sure it's end to end test) and it gave almost 40 ohm which is right AFAIK
4-Blue & yellow wires were kind of easy and i tested one of them (can't remember which) from the other side of the board to the CR pad to make sure no cold solder and it tested fine
5- last one which i suspect is the green one ..that's why more info about the elements arround is appreciated...the SMD below this point (last pic) is a resistor 10K..right ?
what about the SMD element above ? is it a capacitor/ resistor ? and anyone knows the value?
they seem intact and the xbox is working fine with the original nand but just to have a reference

i know i am asking too many questions ...but i am new to the scene but i trying to learn and in EGYPT the scene is soooo slow and expensive (almost 120 $ to mod it :( )

I cant help with that, it seems like a bit much solder on such a small point, try cleaning up the flux aswell.

did you try soldering the green wire to the top half of the resistor below?

i just looked at the falcon i used that point on it looks like both that point and the normal point are bridged maybe give that a test aswell bridging both of those points

yeah....if u look at the pic i am attaching which is cut from Uber' tutorial, inside the red circle u will notice a small trace from the top half of the resistor to point A (green wire)
so they should be bridged ..(it's the alt point anyway)
thanx for trying to help anyway

check for smc error in your ecc build. I have a zephyr with cb 1.09 that cant be patched, and I get the same 5 flashes then rrod 0022. Orig nand with cr on boots just fine.

He hasn't written the ecc file yet and nor should he until he gets it booting in NOR mode! Read his OP next time.

update:
i did the following:
1-re-soldered the green wire to the resistor directly (alt point)
2- re-soldered Power & ground
3-re-routed the wires and tried with the board (not in the case
4-checked the CR (while still connected in XBOX with normal mode /no external power with 360gcprog and the chip was identified and even erased it and reflashed it again with 360gcprog successfuly
still the original dash boots normally when in prog mode while rrod in normal mode
i read the resistance of the resistor (pll_bypass point) when the green wire was disconnected and it was 8k (not 10k)
can i try with ecc and hope for the best...or i would be asking for troubles ?
if i did and it didn't work, no problem going back to original..right ?
help greatly appreciated

Note (maybe it means something to someone": in normal mode with "slim" instead of "phat" (the red led is on) , original nand boots fine but the CR does not even try to glitch (no green flashes at all

well i read the nand 5 times with no errors and they all match and i used multibuilder 0.7 to make ECC file with no errors

but one thing to confirm..i read it with nandpro 2.0b ...should i read again with 2.0e ?

here is the log for making ecc :
