I got a slim console having Hitachi 0500 drive which is already RGH. Only Original disc is reading and not reading my backup disc. how to do that

well what sucks is for some reason even though u are rghe'd u still need a flashed drive for backups, and the hitachi's that are in the slims are not flashable yet.

Ive got a 4gb slim, that im waiting to rgh (coolrunner is on order with mrmodchips).
Will the drive really run it then??? as i thought id have to just use a hard drive.

RGH console with drive containing stock firmware will play games from DVD+R if they're extracted from the iso. I was surprised to hear it but just tried and it works :smile:
Must be similar to how you can burn a system update on a CD and have it update that way.

I have a few iso's on my pc what do I need to do to them so they play? (what program do I need to use?) And they must be small to fit on a dvd+r and not a dl dvd+r?
I tried it on 16D5S,it recognizes the DVD+R DL like a game,also starts like a game,but allways gives an error code and returns to dash. I used maxell DVD+R DL with nero,and burned as DATA DVD . MAybe i need to burn it with some differemt settings?
I just extracted it using Xbox Image Browser v2.9.
Not all games fill up the full 8.5GB when unpacked. Some are small enough to fit on single layer DVDs after the padding is removed.

Ok ill give that a go tomorrow, just waiting on 2 more cool runners to show up, they should be with me tomorrow and ill report back on my 0500 drive and a friends liteon.
