RGH RGH slim wont detect hard drive sees it as unformatted

ok so i have an RGH 360 slim it saw my 120 gig just fine but i bought a new 500 gig internal drive i formatted the drive installed xexmenu and aurora dash but it wont see the drive it sees the drive when i connect it to usb as a usb device but not as an internal drive im guessing i have to make the 500 gig the system drive any ideas on how to fix this?

edit drive shows up in system settings menu as unformatted but i formatted it before installing aurora dash i have also backed up the drive since all of my games were on there

Format it in xbox.

the drive was already formatted i formatted it as soon as i put it in the xbox i formatted it installed aurora but the xbox 360 slim RGH still wont see it

So when u format it in the Xbox it shud show up in storage as 460ish gb

Then click on unformatted, add your serial number and then format it. That's what u have to do to make it work as an internal hdd

ok u guys no offense dont seem to understand i put the HDD in the xbox i formatted it i installed aurora i restarted the xbox and the xbox wont see it and it wont auto boot into ayrora it just boots the the stock dash

If u formatted it as a USB drive with Xbox, then u will have to format it again if u want it as an internal.
