RGH with dead dvd drive - how to fix

I have a RGH Falcon xbox with a dead dvd drive. I bought the Xbox knowing the DVD drive was not working because I knew I was going to RGH it. Now years later I have a game on disc that I cannot get anywhere and I need to get the dvd drive working.
Here is the original issue with the dvd drive: Insert disc into the drive and there is no spin up and the xbox does not recognize there is a disk.
So to correct this, I followed the video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=opq44hD_YaQ and replaced the internals of the dvd drive (Liteon DG16D2S) and kept the same circuit board in the drive.
Now when I load a disc in the drive, it says the xbox 360 game is "xbox 360 dvd video". This makes me think the original owner replaced the entire dvd drive and did not keep the original circuit board.
What do I need to get this drive to read xbox 360 games?
Thank you.

You can get the DVD key from XeLL.

Boot the console with the eject button and make a note of the DVD key.

You can prepare a firmware for the drive with that key.

You will need a compatible SATA chipset to write the firmware to the drive using JungleFlasher.

I own the disc, bought it at retail. Guess some people don't think it is legal to rip games/movies you own.

Do I need the dummy.bin or is there a way to create a generic one using my unique dvd key?

You don't really need a dummy in this case, load your preferred firmware as target and manually spoof it with your dvd-key.

Don't touch that part, just enter the key and press the check button (if I remember correctly).

Thanks for all the help. I was able to flash the drive and now it reads the discs fine.
