I had searched the forum for possible solution, but it really confused me.. from reseting NAND to Reflowing.
A friend of mine gave me the console 'Model 1439', it was fine, up until now.
It has been freezing on gameplay after 5-20 minutes.
It was RGH'ed in a shop and according to him it was working fine.
I increased the fan speed to 100%, still no success.
The gameplay freezes followed by artifacts and loud noise.
sometimes it freezes in FSD.
What could be the problem?
thnx in advance.!

Run the fans at automatic speed and check if the fans get louder. That could be possible overheating. Heatsink not making full contact or needs new thermal paste applied.

Ok, they aren't moving any faster on automatic. and it gets to 75C cpu/gpu/memory, however on 100% they stay cool, 50-55.

I would try few thing before reballing:

1. Change termal paste.
2. Clear system cache memory on xbox
3. Make new nand image and reflash it.

thnx for the answers!
small update.
I've taken the xbox apart and noticed that the blue wire was loose on the board(not looped behind CPU) so i put it a bit away from the board and it works fine now.
i dont really have the smal T-10 security screw so i cant loop it behind the MoBo..
any suggestions for that?

If you are looking to get a toolkit for the 360, this one is great and has bits for all the screws & also works on all smart phones & tablets.
I'm really glad I purchased it because the quality is really good for $16.

a loose cpu rst wire shouldnt be making the console freeze unless it is making contact with something it shouldnt. it dosnt matter where it is looped as long as you are getting steady boot times and no more freezing
