GENERAL RGH1 to R-JTAG

Well it has been a while since I have done any hardware updates and need a little info to move forward. I currently have a falcon on dash 14699 that has RGH1 (first gen coolrunner). I have my stock nand dump (14699) and have my keys and fuse info. I use FSD 2.2 with a 500gig hard drive and I have xexmenu 1.1 installed. I want to change this to a R-JTAG machine and later install a Demon. I have a nandx. What do I need for hardware? ... Do I need the ultimate kit (I assume I just need the start kit as I already have a nandx). What software tools do I need (just J-Runner)?.... Will I need to reinstall FSD, Xexmenu (I assume not as they are installed on the hard drive but I recall some kind launch.xex/launch.ini file)? I saw the sticky on the hardware installation but can't seem to find a step by step for the full procedure. I am also not sure if I just uninstall the CR and flash my original nand back and update my dash to the current one first.

You need a j runner to be able to use the rater option. This helps set the r_jtag up and helps with any problem solving.

Your good with the coolrunner. Just get the demon.


But if you really want the rjtag.. i would go ultimate kit. It has all the qsbs and the jr programmer v2 which is required for rater..

He's not good with the coolrunner if he wants to go on xbox live with the demon, his CB will be updated and will make RGH1 useless on that system


The r-jtag adice is solid though

I would get the rjtag ultimate kit, as for the rest, update stock nand to latest through microsoft update. Dont forget to remove coolrunner. Read stock nand, make a R-Jtag Nand Image(Regular or Aud_Clamp Depending on Jtag wiring) I suggest Aud_Clamp, as it is more stable. Flash Jtag image, install r-jtag. Run rater. Perfect boot times. Install demon, flash stock back to stock nand, and jtag image to demon nand. Use new J-Runner for Updateing Kinect and avatar data. as a side note FSD 2.2 is way outdated, Try the latest 3.0b rev 755 it comes with link, so you can play online with your jtag, and doesnt require a computer to forward ports like XLINK.

It took me some time to configure on my first one but the falcon I did was booting before I could walk to the couch consistently, you will just need to try all your options, I let it cycle 4 times for most of the settings and when I found the 2 that worked best I let them run the full 20 cycles. you wont be disappointed. I got a 9.90 ratter score and that xbox runs awesome!
