I use it for all connections. The power wiring gauge on anything from a house receptacle, a pump motor and all the way down to a tiny modchip is based on potential amp draw. 30 awg is fine. CR3 Lites pulled .02 amps. I'm guessing that CR4 don't pull more than .05 amps. 30 awg is good for around .1 amps.
On Falcons I always use the topside CPU_RST, run it along the back of the MOBO (adjacent to the fan), tape it down to the board and cut it to fit to the chip. In that case 50 cm would be too long. 50 cm is more ideal for trinities when you coil it on the bottom side of the board or around the xclamps.
