so i brought a 16mb jasper the other day and it's cb was 6752 and i want to rgh2 it i have done about 20 rgh on other consoles but this is the first rgh2 i have tryed. the console will boot the retail image fine without the 10ohm resistor installed i have tryed both xsvf files and tryed the switch on phat and slim the coolrunner is a rev A so im not sure if i should bridge the c15 cap point or not im not sure what else i should try

Say that again? It's booting the retail nand with the CR installed, programmed, and enabled? If so, your soldering is definitely no good, as you should be getting a pretty quick RROD on stock nand with a functioning CR. Post pics of your soldering..and definitely don't bridge C15, that cap you removed, it's not intended to be bridged as far as I'm aware. Only revision B has an actual 'CAP' point you could bridge.

no it will still boot with the coolrunner installed i got it booting it just take a long time and people have been bridging the c15 cap points on rev b coolrunners i wanted to know if it was safe on rev a's

So you have the console loading either Xell or a glitched dashboard then? It's not the C15 point on a rev B that is being bridged, it's a dedicated 'cap' point. There's a difference. To get the same effect on a rev A you need to buy a 68nf cap and solder it across point A and GND on the CoolRunner. However, in theory, this doesn't matter on an RGH2 console. Staff have suggested it does make a difference, so you may still want to try it, but there's no sound reason for it to do anything at all to improve times on an RGH2. I'd suggest trying different timing files first.

I know it considering I just told you what it does. What I'm telling you is you're suggesting bridging C15, which is explicitly not recommended and at least one admin has said plain as day "Do not do it".

i highly doubt anyone said bridge c15. there is a reason we disconnect the connection all together. when they say bridge the cap they mean bridge the CAP that is labled CAP on REV B boards. but once again in theory it does nothing bc the pad connected to the CAP is not used in RGH2.

could you post a link to where any admin or respectable user advised bridging c15. bc that needs removed or corrected ASAP

:)
