I got jasper 16mb with revb cr. c15 removed. With shielded wire in cpu reset.

I used different xsvf file but D works best for me.

I soldered 10ohms won't boot. Without 10ohms it boot but booting times varies and most of the times takes more than a minute. 3min and up.

Any suggestions to improve booting time?

Did you solder the cap on the CR?

Also which point have you used for the CPU_RST?

Always worth trying the point on the top of the board. I had a Falcon last night and switching to the top point helped improve boot times a lot. I know yours is a Jasper but it seems to be the CPU_RST that is the cause of the long boot times.

What u mean "bridge the cap" ??
look on the coolrunner and there is 2 points with CAP written next too. blob some solder on them and join them up

The cap shouldn't apply to RGH2 as CPU_PLL_BYPASS isn't used.

The top CPU_RST point is not an 'alt' point. CPU_RST is a through-hole solder point, so you're just soldering it from the other side.

I know it is a through poitn but people are reporting better success using the top (i guess less interference etc??)

Done 3 Falcons with RGH 2 and my best boot time is a 30second average the wrost one is about 90 seconds. Expect they will improve with time as this was not released as a finished project.

this is exactly my average booting time. 4 to 6 minutes with jasper 16mb
Thanks Oggy that made me feel better. I was already feeling dumb coz I can't make the booting time shorter...

Omg thank you! I thought my soldering was bad on my Falcon. Turns out I was just impatient and never waited longer than 3 minutes. Now I have a nice 4 minute booting RGH. :\

I had the same problem for a bit..I now run my wire all the way around to the front (on top) and around by the heat sinks back to the cool runner...7-10 times I boot within 20-40 seconds..the other 3 times about 90 seconds...Using the blue 50cm cable supplied for slims..

Sorry don't have a camera or I would supply pics

you mean from the fan side going near the ROL, under the dvd, then to cr?

Yes the far side..Just did my second rgh2 now and ran the wire same place...6 outta 10 times it's roughly 30 seconds..

The wire isn't that long to run by the rol so I run mine right around the heat sinks then over by the connectors for the dvd drive and back up to the cool runner.. My wire is on top and not underneath..Haven't tried underneath which I will with my next one..

I also find if it runs by the components the small round circle ones (lol think they are capacitors) the cool runner doesn't seem to glitch at all so you have to test with your wire on positions to make sure it's even glitching at all.
