How did you decrease the booting time?My sh*t has been running on juice since I last posted in here, I think one boot over 2 minutes, rest under 40s.
That's over about 18 boot cycles too.
strange. My client too confirmed that by inserting two usb, he shortened his booting time to a minute and his shortened booting time is constant.I stood it up :/
Not altered the wiring at all, it has been running with a usb hdd in - That's the only change apart from the consoles orientation.
Not at all, just a small percentage.Just finished a jasper with boot times 3 minutes and up. Seems to be a common theme for RGH 2.0.
and are you using the double shielded lmr-100a cable (one end grounded) for cpu_rst as instructed ?The metal case alone changes drastically the boot time... here with file A without the case i get <40s boot tims
with the case, 2 to 3 minutes....
WIll try other files
Speaking of, Uber, may want to start mentioning a good place to ground said cable..if I'm right pin five on the same header CPU_RST is soldered to is a ground at least on Xenon boards, I can't imagine it changing on the others.. I always ground on the motherboard side cause I have to cut the shielding off to fit through that hole by the southbridge, guess if you run it on the top side under the fan shroud you could still ground on the CR side... Any opinion on which routing is better or is it going to vary by console again?and are you using the double shielded lmr-100a cable (one end grounded) for cpu_rst as instructed ?
Hadn't seen that you posted those yet, my apologies. I'll go look 'em up.It's grounded exactly where the CoolRunner is grounded in my official guides
Routing is exactly like it is in my official guides (inc troubleshooting guides)
Yep, but didnt ground one endand are you using the double shielded lmr-100a cable (one end grounded) for cpu_rst as instructed ?
on my falcon, connecting low loss cable shield to ground wont boot the console at all..Yep, but didnt ground one end
Just tried XSFV B with normal wirewrap cable and no resistor
getting 5s to 40s max booting time (case, dvd, etc)

You mean the actual CoolRunner installation instructions & trouble shooting guides that are stickies in the CoolRunner forums for the last 6 months?Hadn't seen that you posted those yet, my apologies. I'll go look 'em up.
