RGH Rgh2 Simple Question Please Concering the 10 Ohm Resistor

hey guys i got a very simple question, i saw that in order to rgh 2 i need to remove the c15 cap and add 10 ohm resistor to the cpu rst line,

i have a fat console, on its way to me now , new cb, but not on the latest dash, was a refurb from microsoft, anyway, all i want to do is just boot to xell pick up the dvd key, and remove everything, so is it possible to do all this without the 10 ohm resisitor, even if it will take an hour to glitch :biggrin: i dont care,

or is it a must

thats all if anyone tried without please tell me

The 10 Ohm resistor was put in place for a reason so I strongly advise using one.

I agree, it is there for a reason. check e-bay if you can I got 100 for $2

You can find components on spare PCBs. I keep a pile of boards which have a mixture of through-hole and SMT resistors.

But it is good to know I have a Huge source of parts that is never used.

When I first installed RGH2 I didn't use the 10 ohm it booted in about 50 secs and with it 10-30 secs.

as above ive just done the rgh2 to a jasper 16mb using the stuff that come with the coolrunner.
although it does work and boots to dash it is very slow to glitch

Add the resistor! It'll boot quicker!
