Hello.

This is a XBOX360E (Super slim), corona v5.

I have a DGX 1.1 (upgraded with RGX corona_c file).

I've used jrunner to dump the nand, it compared both dumps and they are the same, then i created and written the ecc to the nand.

Now the weird part. I get blinking green led, but it doesn't glitch, tried a few boots and it never glitches.

I've attached a few pics of my installation, i don't have jrp soldered nor comms cable because i'm just testing if it will glitch, as i was not getting any leds on the dgx before and had to redo my dgx soldering.

I have also tried to boot with a usb stick on the usb left port, it has a xenon.elf file in it which is supposed to get the cpukey from the console once it boots xell, at the end there will be a cpukey.txt file in it. The idea sounds great, but i'm not sure because i've only seen it on youtube, and seems much more convenient than soldering a comms cable. will this work? i don't know, i just need it to boot once then i'll re-write the original nand, if needed i'll re-solder the comms cable and off course the jrp).

Thanks in advance.

First off that soldering is pretty bad. Trim the wires down, clean it up, use flux and resolder. Also theres no picture of where your cpu_rst line is going. I also do not see any dip switches set. The film over the dip switches doesnt look touched witch tells me you didnt try any dips

If you mean the GND point on the J2C3, or the rest? On my previous attempt i mis-soldered 3v point in there, the wire had too many solder in it and i carelessly soldered like that, and it got ugly, i removed most of the excess solder, do you think i should remove more, i wouldn't want to risk lifting that point, even being a GND point.

The rest i can improve, i did it like that because i only need to boot it once to get the cpukey and then replace the drive pcb.

The CPU_RST is soldered underneath the x-clamp where it should, i can remove it to take a picture if that is necessary.

The dip-switches were touched before, when i used the dgx (prior to RGX) to glitch a few other consoles, then i simply put everything to the off position, because when i upgraded to RGX it said the dip switches were de-activated and there would be no need to use them. Isn't this true?

That could be with the dips..I use different files on my dgx chips that do require dips set.
I can try to put the #8 in the on position, that's how it used to work with coronas back in the dgx era, right?

Did you bridge the needed resistors?
Yes i did, resistors 4, 6 and 7.
10 has a resistor.

Dip switches dont do anything once programmed as an RGX

Exactly, that's what i said earlier, i wasn't 100% sure, but i mentioned that i've read about it when i upgraded my dgx into a rgx. :)
But thanks for making it clear. :)

My free time during the week is very limited, but tomorrow i'll try to re-do my soldering and solder it nicely. Apart from that, i think i'll re-solder the jrp/comms cable and try to use the pro rater to see what it says. But i think i should boot even if it took ages until it glitches.

Last time i fitted an RGx it glitched no problem, tried using it again the other day and had no joy. Put in an old CR3 Lite and boom straight away it all depends on the console.
Wow, i will definitely do that, thanks.

Installed a CR3Lite with LK2 bridged and S2 dip #1 and #5 turned on, i get a red led but no crystal activity.

Also tried the longer yellow cable on postout1 but the result is the same.

Tomorrow i will try to re-do all the soldering, but my hopes are pretty much worn down, i'll still do it. If that won't do it, i'll try a squirt 1.2 which is lying around.

Mine does the same with 1 - 5 no glitch it is now set 1 - 678 all on 10cm post and 50cm CPU Reset wrapped around xclamp

LK1 Open using the onboard crystal (not stby clk)
LK2 Short
LK3 Open
LK4 1-2

That didn't work either, then i re-done all the soldering and got the same result.

Also, tried dgx again and it blinks the green led which usually indicates a good install.

Out of results i decided it was time to play safe, write original dump into nand, remove every wire and check if the console booted. At first it didn't boot because i left the postfix adapter (don't know if this behaviour is normal), but after i remove it, it booted normaly.

I'm running out of ideas, i did more than 10 glitches in the past and never got an xbox so hard to glitch.
Any ideas?
