Ring of Light modding idea.

Hey guys,
I have a question on modding the ring of light for the xbox 360. This isn't a standard swap of the SMD LED's, I have another idea..
Basically I want to put LED strips inside my console in the 4 corners, hook the + lead to 12 volts, and the - lead to the negative of each LED on the ring of light. Essentially I'm making the whole console the ring of light.. Anyone know if this is possible, or would I be burning out the traces that control the SMD LED's..

Oh and there would only be 3 LED's coming off of the ring of light board. Only around 60mA of current per corner.

Yes, Look into the mod that allows you change the LED colour, and what you want do is except soldering a new LED there, solder 2 Wires, and at the end of these 2 Wires solder a LED, that way you can Put the LED's where ever you want. Also might be best use LED in image below, this way you can make hole and Push LED from case and get it sit nicely
