Hello All,

I currently have an unlflashed DG-16D4s which I'm ready to flash with LT+3.0.
I've flashed this model of drive a couple of times before so I'm familiar with this process.
What I am not familiar with is the making backups part.

I ripped a couple of games last night using XBC with the above mentioned drive connected via x360 usb pro v2.

1. After I have flashed the drive with LT+ 3.0 will I still be able to use it to rip?

2.

After I ripped my games I realised that in XBC options in the drive specific dropdown box that TS-H943A was selected even though I used a DG-16D4S to rip. I didn't get any errors that I know of, I did run Jungle Flasher before ripping, so I believe this grabbed the correct DVD key can anyone confirm this?

Many thanks

So just to confirm, once I flash with LT+3.0, then the drive will no longer rip?

I fully intend to buy another drive at a later date but would like to rip my current collection before I flash if it is going to stop the drive from ripping.

Thank you

I'm not 100% sure if LT+ 3.0 would let you do this, but it will work on a stock D4S drive.

However, since you need to unlock the SPI before you can write, you can always flash back and forth between LT+ 3.0 and stock (this is a pain in the backside, but it does the job).

As of March 2012, success was achieved in giving the X360USB PRO v2 a truly awesome feature. You are now able to connect any stock 360 DVD Drive to your computer using the X360USB PRO v2 via USB and it will instantly give it a drive letter in Windows! No custom firmware required, no 0800 firmware required, ANY stock 360 Drive can be used to rip and protect your originals using a new upcoming version of XBC with a fully optimized profile giving total support for XGD3 with the data throughput supporting the maximum possible bus speed using ANY stock 360 DVD Drive model (That’s all Phat and all Slim models – including the Hitachi 0500* !).

It has been suggested by another manufacturer that using USB3 gives faster ripping speeds, but obviously this is nonsense as USB2 supports up to 22x, and the 360 DVD Drive peaks at around 12x – so you will have the maximum possible speed that the system can handle available to you at all times

Thanks Playingmax,

I already saw this, this is in part why I bought the x360 usb pro v2.

It says "ANY stock drive"
I'm wondering if it will work after I flash to LT+3.0

I guess after the flash it can't be considered a stock drive anymore?

I will test it tonight, I'm sure it will benefit others to know.

I will report back with my findings

Thanks Blaze,

Just tested it myself, no problems.

Just to confirm for any other noobs with the same question..

An Lt+3.0 flashed drive will rip discs that are connected with an X360 USB PRO V2.

Thanks to everyone for their help.

Problem solved thread can be closed.
