I recently installed rjtag on my 512mb jasper. Everything runs great. My issue is I want to install the demon for dual nand but don't want to start until I get the right info. I did upgrade to 1.04 its a SB demon with the Bb conversion kit. The installing is not the issue I just can't seem to find a good tutorial on the flashing nand part. Am I mistaken the demon when on works with my rjtag for my glitches band and when off the console just boots into the stock band on mobo?

That's why I'm here asking. Confused about the demon and its operation. After I build the image I would flash it to the demon. Now with the demon on this image would be considered the stock nand that could be used on live? Then when off my RJ tag would take over. That's why I'm here asking so I could understand. I appreciate your responses.

You're understanding is correct. The demon NAND will contain your freeboot image and the mobo NAND will be untouched for booting to stock (and for xbox live).

So what is the purpose of the RJtag? So the demon on RJtag kicks in and Freeboot image on demon. Turn demon off Xbox comes on like never had anything in and live.

After further reading I've figured it out. Thanks. Now the demon has my 16mb Freeboot image. Xbox has retail. The issue after install is turn on the console no power with on console demon on. Turn off demon boots fine. Goto jrunner reads demon nand fine switch to Xbox named I get code manufacturer ff not found. I'm gonna double check my soldering cause I know majority of the issue is that. But possibly any other suggestions?

Further help will require pictures if your install for both the rjtag and the Demon, including any qsbs installed. Also logs from jrunner flashing and Nand building. BB Jaspers sometimes have issues with the resistors on the BB kit. Also a Demon needs very clean soldering to function properly. Also, have you made sure the Demon is set to Xbox and not PC on the small switch on the Demon itself?

It was set to Xbox while checking boot ups. And of course PC switch while on PC. I'll get those pics and logs this afternoon(at work now). Question the demon can read the nand on demon when demon is on. Then its suppose to read the console nand while off via switch on ribbon cable. Am I correct?

To read any Nand, the Xbox needs to be plugged in, but not turned on. Plug usb cable from computer to Demon. Open up jrunner and it will tell you which Nand is active in the lower right corner. The Demon nand is generally the one that will be active, unless you switched it manually. To switch to the Xbox360 onboard nand, either press the external button on the demon board, or go to the demon menu in jrunner and click toggle nand. Note, the Demon menu only appears when the demon is plugged into the computer, and the Xbox has the power supply plugged in, but the Xbox is off.

if the demon is installed in the xbox leave the switch on xbox, do not flip the switch when you plug it in to the PC. The pc option is only for running initial tests from pc before installing the demon in the xbox/
