Hi all,

I have what a lot of you will think is a very simple question probably, but I'm struggling to find a definite answer, so was hoping somebody may be able to help.

I'm considering installing a cr4xl in my phat 360 (jasper). Firstly am I right that the rjtag is considered better then rgh2? If so, why is this?

Secondly, if I'm doing the rjtag, am I right I need the aud_clamp qsb as well? If so, does anyone know where to get this in UK, cos any suppliers I've seen, the phat qsb kits don't appear to come with this part?

Thanks in advance of any replies

Thanks for that dayveed. So apart from the boot times, there's not much difference? Think I'd prefer the QSB method, rather then wire install. The only recommended UK supplier (MrConsoles) doesn't seem to have the part listed on their site.

Try
http://www.shop01media.com/
im from the uk and ive ordered from them a few times.
Based in sweden/poland but fairly cheap, fast shipping.
Also I found that rgh2+ method is easier and works well on jaspers.
Thanks for that. At a quick glance their prices do look cheaper alright! Maybe i'll stick with the rgh2+, as it's one less QSB to purchase and solder. I just want something that works reliably.

Stay away from MrConsoles. Though it's on the recommended sellers list they have very bad customer service, a history of not sending products and refusing refunds.
Thanks Krafter. I just assumed that being on the recommended sellers list, they'd be good to use. Going to look at GeekHeat's suggested seller shortly - have you any you would recommend yourself? edit: just noticed your in Indiana, so you probably aren't familiar with sellers this side of the water! :)

Honestly i would go for the R-JTAG+ on your jasper. you can use the AUD clamp or ROL for the JTAG points. though using the ROL method can make the ROL act funny here and there but simply restart it fixes it WHEN it happens. AUD clamp is more stable.

But if you want to use RGH2+ then go for it. out of 35 jaspers i have done via RGH2+ only 1 gave me issues with booting consistantly. and in the end it just needed a 10 pf cap and it booted excellent after that. 11111111112111111121112111111111.

Apologies for not replying to you guys jligg and joshypoo - I didn't get any notifications for your replies!

I've actually decided to get an expert to do this for me, instead of having a go myself. Think that's the best idea!
