I've installed a router on my PC and now I keep loosing my internet connection every 20 minutes or so. I have to go into network connections and repair the connection. Any ideas?

Check the flow speed/duplex speed in your network card properties in device manager, and should be on the advanced tab. Make sure that its on full auto negotiation. I've also seen in a number of cases, its usually the cable you are using - try a different cable, or perhaps even a crossover cable if your nic and router automatically detect media type - shouild if they are both fairly new. try resetting, or power cycling your router too, and hey who knows, you may have just bought yourself a bad router

Chances are it's a timing issue between your switch/router and your PC.

Change your speed and duplex settings from auto to 100/full or if your connecting at 10 then 10/full.

That should do the trick.

I had this problem too but thwe way i fixed it was that in your xbox settings you need to turn the DHCP on instead of off . I have a X3 so that was an option in my settings. Not sure which chip u have but try to turn DHCP on if u have the choice.
