(Answered)Ruined the trace of r4b24 and pulled out the trace, any solution?

hi there, for the first time, I ruined the trace of r4b24 trace on FALCON, I tried to cut of the QSB board connceted to point r4b24, the reason for it, I want to check all the connection is ok, cuz the green light is not blink, acutally the R4B24 point is alway drawing my attention. its ended up like the pic below.

the trace is up from the board, the copper on r4b24 is off which also bring up the trace. all others is fine.
I m just wondering is it repairable? whats the picuture look like?
many thanks

yes it can be fixed.if that r4b24 is damaged then you need to replace it.with a 33ohm 0603 smd resistor.

cut a bit more of the qsb off so you can get to the trace better.

and link the trace to the resistor with a bit of wire.

Your lucky the resistor is still there mate. Just go steady when soldering the wire to the resistor, you don't wanna blow it. Best to check its good before and after the repair.

Good luck

hi there I got 1 question out there regarding one of the article you refered. If I goes alternative points FT2R2 on the bottom of the board, do I still have to fix the trace? or just leave the mess out there, does it effect anything if I try to boot.

thanks

Yeah, fix the trace and take the stby_clk from the coolrunner to the alt point on the bottom. FT2R2

You have to fix the trace in order for the console to boot at all. then I suggest to try the alternate points.
