I have a flash drive and a microsoft HDD but i plan to sell the HDD so i dont want to use it. So far, I have managed to install XeXMenu to the external HDD. I want to be able to rip my games to the drive, directly install emulators/ other apps from the computer. Is this possible? For example, can i get freestyle dash to automatically boot from the external HDD? Its a fresh Jtag i guess i just dont really know what to do with it yet.

yes you can use dash launch and tell it where to boot from, and what program/dash to boot at start up.

Go buy a 1TB laptop drive and use the computer to copy the data, on mine i have over 50 Xbox 360 games, another 30 original xbox games, 40+ arcade games, and another 1000+ games in all of my emulators(Mame(4025), SNES(2000), nes(all of them except the original zelda :(), Sega Genesis), And i still have over 450GB free. The downfall of using an external fat32 drive is you cannot install dlc/arcade/Indie games to it, which is one of the main things people use their xbox for. If it is a demon system i would suggest the dual internal HDD Mod(Unfortunatly I have not been able to implement this on the older style systems(Not enough room in the hdd caddy to mount 2 hdds, I tried, And unfortunatly i dont know any one who does custom plastic work. Would be nice to be able to get as one of the many promised Demon Addons. Hint Hint. lol.) Here is a guide for installing a bigger HDD in a jtag http://team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=56165 Hard drives have gotten physically smaller since this guide, so dont wory about making it fit in the caddy, as it will already, then format it with the jtag xbox, then plug it, and the old one into extra sata ports on your computer and Use Party Buffalo Drive Explorer to extract the files from 1 drive and then Inject them to the new drive. Also dont forget to install the Hacked xbox compatibility files(For Xbox Original Games)
